Media Packs include one to several Utility DVDs/CDs. The User Software CDs/DVDs typically include these software packages: Command Workstation for both PC/MAC, Virtual Drum Scanner, Colorwise Pro, FIERY Hot Folders, FIERY ICM/ICC Profiles, FIERY Font Utilities, Print Port Setup Utilities, FIERY Calibrator, FIERY Downloader, FIERY Spooler and PC/MAC Drivers (includes the latest Windows & macOS drivers).
There are commonly several manuals of 100+ pages each concerning complete FIERY setup and maintenance: Color Printing, Configuration, Customer Release Notes, FIERY Graphic Arts Package Premium Edition, Legal Notices, Printing, Quick Setup, Utilities, FIERY System Software Installation, FIERY Diagnostic Tool for servers, Installation & Service Guide, Parts Catalog, FIERY Command Workstation v7.x, and often times these kits come with user and service materials for the Digital Printer/Copier Model series itself, but this does not apply to every media kit. Some Media Packs include these manuals in PDF format only on CD/DVD versus hardcopy. Black and White FIERY models sometimes include less printed material and software packages due to the lack of color related documentation necessary for controller operation. This kit is imperative to own in order to successfully operate any FIERY controller.
These CDs/DVDs allow you to reinstall the FIERY operating system software on the FIERY server/controller itself in the incident that the unit becomes corrupt or bugged. It also allows you to install a new hard drive in the FIERY if the current one fails or if you want to upgrade to a faster or larger capacity hard drive or SSD. If the FIERY is failing in any way, erasing the system and re-installing the system software can repair it a majority of the time. WARNING: With FIERY system faults or failure, ALWAYS check and clean the FIERY system’s internal and exhaust fans, and replace immediately when they start making sound or halt altogether.
NOTE: These are separate CDs/DVDs from the client side CD/DVD or "User Software" CD/DVD that contains the Command Workstation/Drivers/Utilities for your PC/MAC peers that are connected and have network access to the FIERY unit(s). Worldwide, it is a very common scenario that this important recovery CD is found to be missing from most FIERY unit purchases unless the FIERY is purchased through a FIERY-DIRECT facility such a LANgrafix. These important “lifeboat” materials ALWAYS ship with every FIERY Server unit we sell.
